At Fowler State Bank, community service is more than a cliche. We practice what we preach to support the communities that have allowed us to flourish.

The staff of Fowler State Bank will be volunteering at the Fowler Theater February 26-28. Stay close, save money and come meet members of our staff at the Fowler Theater the 26th through the 28th!

“Although our audited financial numbers are not yet available, we think 2009 was a good year. We should see stable earnings and increased capital. Our capital ratio remains above the “well capitalized” standard as defined by regulators. We may not be out of the woods yet on this recession, but we hope to continue with a solid performance in 2010 and increase our reserves at the same time”, said Steve Brunton, CFO of Fowler State Bank.

Stay tuned for official results in the coming month.

Students across the Hoosier State will soon begin taking the ISTEP+ educational tests administered by the Indiana Department of Education. The Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) measures what students know and are able to do at each grade level. Based on Indiana's Academic Standards, ISTEP+ provides a learning check-up to make sure students are on track and signal whether they need extra help.

The team at Fowler State Bank has pitched in to help students in the communities we serve be better prepared for the test through donations. Fowler State Bank has donated pencils to all the schools in our branch communities, including all the Benton Community Schools, the entire South Newton School Corporation and all of the MSD of Warren County Schools. Good luck to our area students from everyone at Fowler State Bank!

Very soon, you'll see a significant change from Fowler State Bank. Over the course of the last several months, we've been working diligently to prepare a new website for the bank.

While the new website will certainly have a new look, it will also offer you, our customer, a better online experience when researching Fowler State Bank's products and services, or utilizing our online banking features.

Keep an eye on our website as the new site will be launched VERY soon!

February is American Heart Month. Cardiovascular diseases, including stroke, are our nation's No. 1 killer. To urge Americans to join the battle against these diseases, since 1963 Congress has required the president to proclaim February "American Heart Month." During American Heart Month, thousands of American Heart Association volunteers visit their neighbors with the goal of raising funds for research and education and pass along information about heart disease and stroke. Everyone at Fowler State Bank would like to encourage you to help raise awareness for this great cause.

Groundhog Day has passed and Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, which means we're in for 6 more weeks of winter. Thanks Phil!

Don't forget these other important dates in February.

  • February 14 - Valentine's Day (need we say more guys?)
  • February 15 - President's Day
