Greetings!

Fowler State Bank is committed to providing you sound tools to meet your financial needs.  We sincerely appreciate your confidence in Fowler State Bank, and would encourage you to contact your favorite representative with any questions about our financial products.

The Fowler State Bank staff honored Kenneth W. Deckard at a retirement party held at the Benton County Country Club December 15.

Deckard’s tenure is unique in that Fowler State Bank has been the only career he has had for the last 45 years. Deckard began at the Bank as a teller/bookkeeper in 1964 and became an officer in 1969. He was promoted to President and Trust Officer, and elected to the Board of Directors July 1976. In 1982 he was named Chief Executive Officer, and in 1983 was appointed Chairman of the Benton Financial Corporation Board. In 2005 he was also appointed Chairman of the Bank Board.

Ken lives just outside of Fowler with his wife, Judy. They are the parents of two children and have four grandchildren. Ken is an avid grandparent and hunter, and plans on doing more of both in his retirement. Everyone at Fowler State Bank wishes Ken much enjoyment and success in his retirement, just like he had in his career.

We would like to extend warmest holiday greetings and wishes for a prosperous 2010 to all our clients, shareholders and friends. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your financial needs. We look forward to our continued relationship with you in 2010. Click on the image to view a larger version.

On November 30, we launched a campaign to increase our E-News subscriber database. As part of this campaign, we're randomly giving away $100 per week to new subscribers and current subscribers who forward our emails to their friends who become new subscribers.

We would like to congratulate Karen Williams and Judy Wirtz. Karen was the first week winner, and is pictured at left receiving her $100 from Traci Davies at our Main Office. Judy was the second week winner and is pictured at right receiving her $100 from Curt Peutz at our Kentland Office.

You still have time to enter the contest, which ends December 25, 2009. Keep a watchful eye, as each Monday through the end of the contest we are sending an update with the past week's winner.

Full contest rules are available at the Fowler State Bank website.
