Fowler State Bank employees worked the Fish Fry on Sunday, July 26 at the Benton County Fairgrounds.  Employees served food prepared by the Earl Park American Legion and Boswell-Grant Fire Department.  Despite the rain, turnout was good for the annual fish fry.

Kevin Lange drove the Corn Van and Morgan Matson, along with family members, threw candy to patrons along the Fowler 4th of July parade route.  Look for the FSB Corn Van at an event near you!

Employees cooked and served lunch at the Compass July 22, July 29, and again on August 5th.  The Compass serves lunch to children during the summer months when school is out of session.  Our Casual for a Cause drive in July raised over $300 to supply food for the three lunches at the Compass.  Funds not used will be donated to the Compass for supplies.

Casual for a Cause is back and this time it’s for school supplies.  Each branch will be collecting donations to benefit their local school. Feel free to make a monetary donation or donate school supplies at any of our branches!

If you have bought a house recently, you are well aware of the disclosures and forms you receive in the mail.  Changes to the disclosures by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau originally scheduled for August 1 have been moved back to October 3.  What are these changes you ask? The new forms will combine the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act’s “Good faith estimate” of settlement costs and the Truth in Lending Act’s estimated “Fed box” disclosures into a “Loan Estimate.”  RESPA’s settlement statements will now accompany the final TILA disclosure into a “Closing Disclosure.”  This change was mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act that required the CFPB establish a single disclosure scheme.  The final closing statement will now be provided to the buyer three days before closing.

Cindy Eberhardt will celebrate her 40th anniversary at FSB on August 11th. Stop by to wish Cindy a happy anniversary. Congratulations Cindy!

We appreciate your business and interest in Fowler State Bank.  If there is anything we can do for you, please Contact Us at one of our four convenient offices to speak with your favorite representative.

Again, we appreciate your patronage!

Sincerely,

Fowler State Bank
