Greetings!

Fowler State Bank is committed to providing you sound tools to meet your financial needs.  We sincerely appreciate your confidence in Fowler State Bank, and would encourage you to contact your favorite representative with any questions about our financial products.

Fowler State Bank once again is sponsoring a Shred Day for our communities on May 1st from 9am-Noon in the parking lot next to the main office in Fowler. This is a great opportunity to safely destroy documents that contain your personal information. We can only accept paper documents. No media, disks or other "non-paper" items will be accepted.

Benefits of our Shred-Day include:

  • Free up space in your home or office
  • Eliminate unnecessary theft and security risk
  • Get rid of old, out dated and useless files

The cost of this service is FREE! However, we are accepting donations of money, canned goods or dried goods.  We will donate the proceeds to the local food pantry.

Get rid of your personal documents and help the community! Don't miss our annual Shred-Day, May 1st from 9am-Noon, at the main office in Fowler!

The Bank will be providing snacks as a THANK YOU to our customers.

If you missed our “snack on us” at our Kentland branch, please join us Friday, April 23 at our Williamsport Branch.

Maybe you didn’t buy a new house last year, but you did make some energy-efficient home improvements.  You may claim a credit for 30% of the cost of eligible home improvements on your principal residence, up to a maximum of $l, 500.

The credit applies to insulation and to energy-efficient exterior windows and doors, heat pumps, furnaces, central air conditioners, and water heaters.  The new rule is in effect for both 2009 and 20l0, so if you claim the full $l,500 credit on your 2009 return, you are not eligible for additional credits for 20l0.

Another resident tax credit designed to spur investment in alternative-energy equipment such as solar hot-water heaters, geothermal heat pumps and wind turbines for new and existing homes, is worth 30% of the cost of such items, including installation, with a no cap on the amount.

Before you visit an ATM, have all your documents prepared and ready, have deposit slips filled out, envelopes ready, and calculations made before you approach the machine.

Thieves are looking for victims who appear unaware or distracted, so make sure you walk purposefully to the machine.  Stay aware of your environment, and perform your transactions quickly.

Spring and summer will be full of graduation parties and weddings.  Visa Gift Cards from Fowler State Bank are the perfect gift for any occassion. Contact our main office at 765-884-1200 or stop at one of our convenient branches in Fowler, Kentland or Williamsport to learn more about these great gifts!

The agricultural industry is one of the most dangerous occupations in the United States because of the broad risks associated with the occupation.  Research indicates that 700 farmers and ranchers die in work-related accidents yearly. Children are also at special risk for farm-related accidents.  There are typically 200 plus deaths every year among children.  Many of these situations occur when they are innocent by standers or passengers on farm equipment.

Let’s be more alert at this time of the year during this upcoming planting season.

We appreciate your business and interest in Fowler State Bank.  If there is anything we can do for you, please Contact Us at one of our four convenient offices to speak with your favorite representative.

Again, we appreciate your patronage!

Sincerely,

Fowler State Bank
