Bucyrus City Schools Making Good on Their Promise - Aug. 4, 2010
In 2008, the Bucyrus City School District asked for the community’s help in developing their five-year strategic plan. Over the next year, 300 individuals pledged their time and talents in order to create a strategic plan designed to mold Bucyrus into the “District of Choice in North Central Ohio” by 2015. Upon completion of the project, the district made a promise to the community, a promise not to let their hard work go to waste. Make-Up Drug Testing for all Bucyrus Extra-Curriculars - Aug. 3, 2010

Mandatory Fall Sports Meeting for Parents and Students - Aug. 3, 2010
Any Bucyrus student planning on participating in the upcoming fall sports season must attend a mandatory preseason meeting with a parent or guardian. The meeting will be held on Tues day, August 3, 2010 in the Bucyrus High School gymnasium and will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Individual team meetings will follow the all-student meeting. Read More...

Mandatory Drug Testing for All Bucyrus Extra-Curriculars - July 20, 2010
Any Bucyrus student in grades 7-12 wishing to participate in any extra-curricular activities and/or receive a parking permit at the Bucyrus Secondary Building must first pass a mandatory drug test. The Bucyrus Board of Education has graciously waived the cost of the initial test for the third consecutive year in an effort to permit any interested student the opportunity to participate. Bucyrus to Present State of the Schools Address - July 16, 2010
On August 12th, the Bucyrus City School District, will present the State of the Schools Address. Preceding the address will be a Spaghetti Dinner, sponsored by the Bucyrus Booster Organization at 5:30 p.m. We will be accepting in -kind donations to assist the Bucyrus United in Learning and Development (BUILD) Committee.
